Inf, is there a lot difference between them? G500 and Mx518? I had used Mx500, 510 and 518.. Before that it was dual mouse man which to this day is the best mouse ever but its technology got outdated. It did have perfect grip and you practically had your thumb on the thumb button all the time making it very easy to scope enemies quick. Too bad other games did use same gaming system OFP did, they do now however.

Anyone its either getting The G500 or waiting until the 29th and get my old MX518 back.

All I can comment on is the G5 Cain, I used to have a Saitek and this G5 is a million times better than that fits my hand perfectly, has adjustable weights if your into that thing and is generally a good all round performer, has the usual change DPI settings buttons, two triggers on the left and the software (Although it does'nt have to be installed to use the mouse) And its just generally a good solid mouse that I bought after a lot of people recommended it to me.

As for Mousemates I use a 4D Steel, depends if you want a hard or soft mat really ... Or you can buy both like mine has as I prefer harder surfaces as it makes me more accurate as the mouse won't slip away. But at the end of the day its all personal preference. My G5 and 4D Steel Pad have never once let me down :)

I have a razer coperhead mouse with the eXactMat mouse pad.

2000dpi resolution
7080 frames per second
1000Hz Ultrapolling™ / 1ms response time

Though, the "thumb buttons" are not perfectly setted. But it's okay, what is more difficult to reach is the 2 other buttons at the right side of the mouse.

What make a mouse better than another one ?? nothing much specifically. Once you got familiar with one of them, you just get used to it.
That's my opinion.

The way you handle your mouse confortably or not depends on your hand size, some mouse seems better for small hands or bigger one. What one share his positive opinion about such mouse could be the contrary for someone else.

Still, the dpi resolution can make the difference (not that much though). The bigger dpi resolution you have, the higher mouse sensitive you'll get. Higher your sensitive mouse capacity can reach, and the more you will be able to decrease your in-game settings mouse sensitivity >> and higher your accuracy will be.

Its crap armas movement is so strange. I mean, my Y axis is at 1.44 while X axis at 1.0 (mousespeed). Now when i found out about the smoothness bar i can finally do some accurate aiming. But ArmA still have reversed mouseacc. If you move mouse really quick it moves slowly on screen. If you go regular speed you get decent movement. If you driving a car and make small slow movements with the mouse nothing happens.
